One of my passions has always been passing on my knowledge, and I am now making that available to you!
Key Changes Music Therapy Services is adding consultation and supervision to it’s list of available services. If you are a new professional, taking the leap into private practice, or in need of a fresh perspective on your professional practice, I have the experience and perspective to help you grow.
To kick off these new services, the first three e-mails I receive (See our Professional Services page) regarding consultation and supervision will get a free 30 minutes either by phone, e-mail, or Skype.
Great! Passing it on, passing it on~
What good is knowledge if not shared?
I am interested in the consultation, but the “Contact Us” link does not seem to work for me.
Uh oh! Let me check
Fixed! Thanks for the heads up
Very cool! Thanks for all the help you’ve given me!
My daughter, Tiffany, age 5, has a condition known as Phelan McDermid Syndrome or Ring Chromosome 22q13.3
Tiffany really enjoys familiar music and videos but has a very hard time adjusting to other music and videos. In fact, she becomes almost traumatized when it is not her music or videos. How can we turn that around? It is extremely difficult, especially when we go into uncontrolled settings where everything but her music and videos is playing. Thanks for any helpful suggestions.
I didn’t mention it in my earlier post, but Ring Chromosome 22q13.3 is a micro deletion of the 22nd chromosome, deleting the SHANK3 gene, which allows synapses in the brain creating signals between the two halves of the brain. It is the gene that creates the SHANK3 proteins. This gene is responsible for fine and gross motor skills, cognition and other important brain functions. Phelan McDermid Syndrome is considered part of the autism spectrum as the micro deletion causes autistic-like traits.
